Zemer has studied many fields in Israel and New York such as goldsmithing, architecture, painting and sculpture.
In his work, Zemer examines the negative space in painting; The background receives the same attitude and importance as the cental image. In some cases, the background gets a larger stage when the subtraction path stands out.
Zemer also examines the effects of color, line and stain, interlocking elements and games of light and shadow.
Art gives Zemer the possibility of expression and freedom that are sometimes blocked by the constraints of design and architecture - he is educated to see and understand the important points of connection between them and the need to group together these areas in order to create something complete and detailed. He emphasizes the importance of creative work within the process built up of clear rules.
